Our Students
Concern for the Future looks for bright child soldiers, abducted girls, AIDS orphans, children in refugee camps, children living by themselves, and working children who have a strong motivation to attend university and lead their country.

We collaborate with a number of Uganda-based organizations to locate children who have all the skills, promise, and determination to succeed, but who do not have the means. We provide these children with education, room and board, clothing, medical care, and a family.

Our children have faced war, AIDS, unbelievable hardships. Despite these obstacles, our children are excelling.

Half of our high school students attend the best eleven high schools.

• 46% of our younger kids attend Budo Jr., the #1 primary school.

• 32% of our students who were ranked placed in the top ten of their class.

Ongom James returned to his old primary school in Pader IDP camp and spoke to the students. Wasswa Charles helped produce short video spots for this website.

• Eight of our students had their work showing conditions in northern Uganda exhibited at Makerere University Art Gallery.

In Africa, education, like medicine, transforms lives. We imbue our students with the faith, intelligence, and compassion to change the terrible conditions that once robbed them of their educations. They are no longer "outside the dream", but are poised to lead Uganda and East Africa to a more secure and prosperous future.
