CFTF Staff, Volunteers, & Community Partners
Concern for the Future
is run by a Ugandans. Director Monica Nankoma is assisted by a deputy, asocial worker, a program officer, eight volunteers called "the moms" and Deo  Gombya, our honorary "dad".

The moms, volunteers whose children CFTF enrolls in school, look after those who have no family. Our honorary "dad", Deo, is a role model for our fatherless children. The volunteers provide emotional support, moral guidance, and love to our orphans.

Our volunteers are trained counselors of children affected by trauma. They visit our kids at school, and care for them in their homes when they are sick. These dedicated individuals are the heart of Concern for the Future's community-based approach.

CFTF's volunteers are assisted by five community partners who (along with their organizations) work closely with Concern for the Future. They help Monica select the very smartest, most deserving youngsters. The community partners, along with the "moms" and "dads" keep our children connected with their communities and culture.
